Justin Timberlake’s spokesperson has shot down fresh rumors he’s dating actress Olivia Wilde after they were spotted celebrating a mutual friend’s birthday together in New York.

The “SexyBack” hitmaker recently co-hosted a dinner party for his pal at his barbecue restaurant Southern Hospitality and Wilde was among those in attendance, mingling with the singer/actor and other guests.

It is the second time in as many months the newly single stars have been spotted out together, but Timberlake’s representative insists there is nothing romantic between the two.

His rep tells People.com, “They are friends and are not romantically involved, nor is Mr. Timberlake romantically involved with anyone.”

The pair was first linked in April, just weeks after the singer/actor split from Jessica Biel, and Wilde filed for divorce from Italian prince Tao Ruspoli.

At the time, Olivia Wilde dismissed reports of a budding romance with Timberlake, tweeting, “Cool it honeybadgers. We are just friends and have been for years.”

The future is here. The June cover of “Glamour” magazine can actually talk. On an iPad. But still! It (as in Olivia Wilde) talks and moves and invites you somewhat saucily to take a look!

It’s definitely cool and speaks to an untold amount of other opportunities — we love the idea of a cover which morphs into the actual cover profile and actively speaks to you — but we’re also a little creeped out. Because the magazine is talking to us.

You can buy the iPad issue for $1.99 or a yearly subscription for $19.99. No word on whether every cover is a guaranteed talker.

Hawaii is about to get wild—Olivia Wilde, that is.

I can exclusively reveal that Ms. Wilde will receive the Female Shining Star Award at next month’s Maui Film Festival.

The festival kicks off June 15. Wilde’s award presentation will include a screening of Sun City Picture House, a short produced by Wilde and Maria Bello about the building of a movie theater in earthquake-ridden Haiti.

Olivia Wilde will next be seen opposite Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford in director Jon Favreau’s fantasy-action flick Cowboys & Aliens. Zac Efron, Jake Gyllenhaal, Claire Danes and Adrien Brody are among the festival’s previous young Hollywood award winners.

And like last year, I’ll be returning to Maui to sit down and chat with Olivia and all the other celebrity festival-goers (more names should be announced any day now) to give ya the scoop throughout the festival.

There will be Huddy no more on House – co-star Lisa Edelstein will not return to the veteran Fox medical drama next season. Edelstein was one of 3 main cast members of House, along with Robert Sean Leonard and Omar Epps, whose original contracts expired at the end of this season. Leonard and Epps re-upped earlier this month when Edelstein’s deal also looked on track to make.

But word is that she ultimately decided not to return to series for the next eighth (and likely final) season, putting an abrupt end to the on-again-off-again romance between her character, Dr. Cuddy and Hugh Laurie’s Dr. House, aka Huddy. Along with Epps, Edelstein had been asked to take a cut from her most recent salary of $175,000 an episode, but the offer was still pretty good, so she is walking away from more than $2 million.

Her departure will leave Olivia Wilde as the only regular female cast member but, with Wilde’s hot movie career, she is rarely on full-time.

olivia wilde salman rushdie One of the many perks of authoring The Satanic Verses and The Moor’s Last Sigh is the requisite personal friendship with Olivia Wilde, best known for her work in Tron: Legacy 3D and The O.C., on which she played a lesbian during a brief but memorable story arc in late 2005. The author and the actress discussed foreign policy at Da Silvano last week, because “he’s one of her parents’ best friends,” a rep said.

Recently single “Tron: Legacy” beauty Olivia Wilde was spotted dining with Salman Rushdie at a table for two at Da Silvano the other night. But while some onlookers thought it was a date, don’t let your imagination run wild. “He’s one of her parents’ best friends,” said a rep for Wilde, whose love life has been speculated about wildly since she filed for divorce in February from Tao Ruspoli. And man-about-town Rushdie has been linked to a laundry list of long-legged lovelies.

Olivia Wilde has said that she would love to play Lara Croft in the planned reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise.

In an interview with MTV, the actress also revealed that she hasn’t been approached to star as the character made famous on film by Angelina Jolie.

“That would be so awesome,” she said. “I love Lara Croft.

“As far as I know right now, I’m not playing [her]. But that’s really cool that people think I should.”

The Tron: Legacy star will next be seen in cinemas as Ella in Cowboys & Aliens, which also features Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford. In addition, she recently polled fifth in FHM UK’s 2011 ‘Sexiest Woman in the World’.

Wilde can currently be seen as Dr. Remy Hadley (aka Thirteen) in the Fox medical drama House, which was renewed for an eighth season yesterday.

The doctors are in… some of them at least.

After lengthy talks, Fox has closed a deal with producer Universal to bring House back for an eighth and likely final season.

“Over the past seven seasons, House has redefined the medical drama and has given us one of television’s most compelling and iconic characters,” said Fox president Kevin Reilly in a statement. “From the producers to the incredible writers to the unbelievably talented cast and crew, the House team is fearless in its creativity and I can’t wait to see what they have in store next year.”

Curiously, Fox’s press release doesn’t mention which castmembers will be returning for season 8. As Deadline first reported Monday night, Robert Sean Leonard and Omar Epps have inked new deals, but it’s unclear where things stand with Lisa Edelstein and Jesse Spencer. Hugh Laurie, Olivia Wilde and Peter Jacobson were already under contract for an eighth season.

House co-stars Robert Sean Leonard and Omar Epps have closed deals to return for the series’ upcoming eighth (and likely final) season, which is thisclose to being a reality as a renewal agreement between Fox and House producer Universal Media Studios is being finalized tonight.

Leonard (who recently told TVLine that he was on the fence about doing another season), Epps and Lisa Edelstein are the three original cast members whose current deals expire at the end of this season. Edelstein’s deal is still not done, with the process delayed by the fact that she has been overseas. However, she is expected to close. Star Hugh Laurie has one more year on his contract, and newer cast members such as Olivia Wilde also have more time.

Negotiations with the show’s owner, Universal Media Studios, are ongoing, and the two remain in an exclusivity window. Both Fox and UMS are trying to come to an agreement on who will pay what percentage of the pricetag for season eight.

Fox is looking for a signficiant reduction in license fees — some sources say up to 20% — despite the show’s ever-growing costs. Another sticking point is that Fox would like a one-year deal for the show while UMS would prefer a two-year pact.

To complicate matters, “House” cast members Robert Sean Leonard, Omar Epps and Lisa Edelstein are not under contract for an eighth season. UMS will exercise options for star Hugh Laurie and Olivia Wilde if the show goes forward.

Both sides refuse to comment on the negotiations but are optimistic a deal can get done by Monday, when Fox will announce its fall lineup to advertisers. If talks fall apart, UMS will be able to shop the drama to other networks.

Meanwhile, “House” creator-exec producer David Shore is expected to begin fielding offers soon on a new studio deal. His most recent pact with UMS, where he has been for the past eight years, is about to expire.

Actress Olivia Wilde is planning to turn director after signing on to make a movie about a Haitian children’s baseball team.

The Tron: Legacy star was among the first celebrity aid volunteers to travel to the Caribbean nation in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake, which left Haiti devastated, and she admits the journey was an “amazing” experience.

Now, she’s heading back to make a film about a group of young survivors.

She tells America’s Glamour magazine, “I’m going to Haiti to work on a documentary about a Little League team.”

The actress is hoping to turn the trip into an extended vacation, although she’s hesistant to leave so soon after purchasing her first home following her marriage split.

She says, “I’m thinking about travelling, but I should stay in one place. I just bought a house (in Los Angeles).”

Wilde filed for divorce from Italian prince Tao Ruspoli earlier this year (11) after eight years of marriage.
